The project Operative use of seasonal hydro-meteorological forecasts with water balance and soil water balance modeling for drought adaptation due to climate change with a duration from 12/2020 to 11/2023 is funded under the program “Promotion of Measures for Adaptation to the Consequences of Climate Change” by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety.
The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety funds projects under this program that strengthen the capacity of regional or local actors (such as municipalities, businesses) to adapt to climate change impacts through awareness-raising, dialogue and participation, and networking and cooperation initiatives.
At the same time, it is an important concern for the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety to closely link the two climate policy areas of climate protection and adaptation to the consequences of climate change.
More about the call for proposals and further information such as sample files and an overview of the projects funded so far can be found on the website of the project management ZUG.
